“Everything is magical. Anything can be transformed. Your home is no exception. What do you want your home to convey? Are you calm? Or are you LOUD……Is an eclectic palace what you dream about? Your home is what you see when you awake, and the last place you see before you shut your eyes to sleep. It should make you feel good. It should be that one place in life that you always want to be”- Anita C. Spero
At first glance you might think this blog is all about selling my “stuff”. I can tell you with all honesty that it is not. This blog has been a long time coming. There is so much more to me than my store. Of course, my store is part of me, and I’m very proud of it, so it is included. But getting on-it’s not all about my store.
I am a very complex person. I never stop thinking; I just don’t shut down. In fact, I’m a true insomniac because I don’t shut down. I think the world is wonderful! Every moment of every day, something awesome is happening around you and around the world- slow down or you might miss it!
I have a tendency to daydream a lot. I’m an avid TV watcher, and drink way too much coffee.
Let me be honest here…People constantly say to me “Oh my, the things you sell are beautiful! Your home must be divine.” Actually…if you knocked on my door right now and I answered, you’d first see a woman dressed in jeans (covered in paint) and a robe (also covered in paint), sporting work boots. As you walked inside you’d go through our kitchen into our beautiful family room. It’s done in all white, a mix of styles including French and cottage, with some Santos pieces mixed in. This is where I do much of my photography. HOWEVER, you’d see into our adjoining kitchen and see cardboard on the floor, covered in paint (it’s a general theme), containers of homemade paint, used brushes, unorganized boxes of salvaged “stuff”, and a general mess.
The rest of my home you’ll learn about in the future.
This was going to be a blog about just design, but after I started note-booking my ideas, I realized it had to be about more: My love for food, small things I see daily, people I find to be so interesting that I need to write about them.
I learned while writing these notes that there was a ton about me that I want to share. I found that I am pretty interesting, and I still have a lot to learn about myself. My love for beautiful things, art, and home design go much deeper than I thought. There is much more meaning to it all…
